If I were staying in downtown Denver with a six year old I would choose the Crawford hotel in the train station as there is lots to walk to and see. Cherry Creek would be another neighborhood a little closer to Englewood- maybe look at The Clio (the Washington Park playground not too far away is great). For easy hikes check out Chataqua in Boulder, the trail by the river in Golden (and stop for lunch at the The Golden Mill food hall), Three Sisters or Lair of the Bear. Denver Beer Co on Logan is a kid friendly restaurant near Englewood. Acreage in Lafayette is a fun Cidery to visit with kids. I haven’t been to Breckenridge Brewery in Littleton but also seems kid friendly. I personally wouldn’t squeeze in a visit to RMNP on a three day trip. Maybe the Broadmoor/Garden of the Gods/ or Cheyenne Zoo in Colorado Springs could be a good excursion.[/quote]
