No just Loudon, most of the bigger clubs are like this.  My kid went to SYC tryouts for nothing, they pre-picked kids before tryouts to get on teams. Apparently tryouts are where they try and plug holes, but if you want to actually get on the team you want, you're were supposed to go practice w the team ahead of time.

However, now that the tryout dust has settled, you should be able to get on an entry level team.  I'd pick one of the travel clubs that is closest to you or maybe one where you child knows someone already playing.  It is common to still bring players out to practices to get on team at this point.  [/quote]
