I don't know the answer to this, but I know the same was true when I gained 5lbs after regularly strength training (I'm 5'2"). My clothes fit better, especially around my waist. While I get that gaining 5-7lbs of muscle for a woman is A LOT, it's proof to fact that the scale is often a liar for athletic and fit people. [/quote]
