Most of the ones I have worked with have a degree in the field and then do extra classes, etc to get a teaching license
Is it an easier route to the teaching license? My daughter is in an online CTE class where a large percentage of the class does poorly on the tests (I know one other parent who also confirmed and she listened in on part of a class where the teacher talked about how poorly they did on the midterm). She doesn't seem to adapt her teaching and the power points seem to come with the online textbook. My daughter does OK, but can't wait until it's over and she doesn't have study materials or a study guide. I haven't found the teacher very helpful when I reached out. My son was in an in person CTE class in a field where my husband is an expert. When he saw the power points and assignments he said the class is a complete waste and isn't even properly introducing them to the field.
