Omg no! It’s because dcum is anonymous. Someone who would happily share an interior designer’s name with a friend or neighbor won’t put it on dcum, because frankly dcum is full of people who think the designer should cost $500, or that a $50,000 living room is “insane.” Interior design is one of those things that people have wildly different expectations for so it’s not something you want to advertise widely, because you’ll spend a ton of time filtering out people who are not a good fit for your business model.

But you can get a long way with a design for $500, or for free at the public library, or for free at a store. So this is a good place to get design advice if you post details and a budget, but not if you don’t post any budget info. [/quote]
