Not begrudging them the money -- people can give and if this family can take a nice vacation or pay off their mortgage, good for them. But it seems bizarre that we live in a world where (1) trash people call children racist names at playgrounds, AND (2) being called a racist name at a playground results in a huge financial windfall for your family. They are not taking a vacation, but goodness, what if they did? What if this family who suffered a baseless attack also got to receive a gift that would bring joy? Wow! Terrrible!
