It's quite a trek. I have been able to drop tagged bags immediately after leaving customs, so didn't need to drag those over to the United terminal. I did however have to go through TSA security again at the United terminal, and it's hard to predict how long that will be. Another concern would be any delay to the EVA plane - delays at the departure airport or delays getting to the gate at LAX or delays collecting your luggage to exit customs. I'd be nervous.[/quote]
