[/quote] What MS did the kids come from, Carson or Hughes? The competition at Carson is probably closer to the competition at TJ then the competition at Hughes. A student accepted from Carson who would attend SLHS has likely participated in some of the STEM clubs after school and has been in class with kids who are very TJ focused. Carson is a feeder and TJ is a popular topic of conversation. Hughes has a different profile. TJ would be more of a shock to the system to a kid coming from Hughes then a kid coming from Carson.
