I used Woolite upholstery cleaner, which normally works wonders on all sofa stains but that did not get it out. It doesn't stink -- though I guess that could start once summer humidity kicks in.

The sofa is older, from Ethan Allen and says not to remove the cushion covers for professional or home cleaning. I assume this means that they are prone to shrinkage.

My question -- how the heck do I get this stain off the cushion? [/quote]
