There is a lot of variety in what evening practice means. Practicing 2 days a week with a mixed age group is not at all the same as daily practice with peers.
True. Evening practice is rarely as good as morning. But for some parents, it is the only option. Having your kid swim 10-11 in the morning just doesn't work with getting to the office. So unless practice ends before 9 am, it ain't happening. I will say that we used to have two lanes and a coach running an evening practice three days a week. But parents started complaining because morning practice had more coaching, they would do fun stuff (but they controlled the whole pool), and the quality of the practices were better and they wanted the team to make the evening practices as good, etc. The pool was mad enough about the number of lanes being used "all summer" and paying coaches both morning and practice wasn't affordable. So something is better than nothing, but it is not the same.
Our team doesn’t offer pm practices after the school year ends but the morning practices are done by 10.
