I've yet to hear of a psychiatrist who looks for other causes before putting kids on ssris.[/quote] Nutritionist, functional medicine, allergist, ABA, OT, PT, SLP consults, neurologist, neuropsych eval, clinical eval at school, additional testing as needed. Changed diet, changed environments & routines, added services as needed, added vitamins/minerals, taught new skills, haven’t needed SSRIs yet. Still a last resort possibility for the future.[/quote]
