Don't be ridiculous.  There are any number of countries in which the standard of living is as high or higher than in the US.

There are plenty of options for work visas in other countries for tech, healthcare and academia - for now.  If you are hoping to leave the US right now, odds are it isn’t for the promise of a country with streets paved in gold. It’s the chance to live in a country without the constant fear of upheaval. As absolutely wild as that is to write. [/quote]
