Our school offers a paid soccer program, which is now canceled because DCPS is forcing outside vendors to meet new insurance requirements. They just sent a notice this afternoon that the spring soccer season is canceled. Is this happening elsewhere? Are other schools losing outside programming? Lots of sports and arts activities are run through outside vendors. Will this effect aftercare? What the heck is happening?
This precise thing, I dont know, but DPR almost killed soccer programming last year (and who knows what else) when they tripled (at least!) facilities fees without telling anyone.
