I'm sure that belt tightening might make sense to extend to college choice as well even if you have savings to cover it. You still might be able to get close to VT in-state tuition at some OOS schools that are still accepting applications. Clarkson and Alabama come to mind. GMU, VCU and ODU are also viable options. I'm sure you know this already, but worth considering.[/quote]
