DS loves the sport and we still held off on travel soccer. He has other interests and he and we don't care about him falling behind his peers or anything like that. He plays rec in the fall and spring and plays for his middle school team. But he also wanted to do track in the spring and other activities. Don't push travel soccer on a kid that doesn't love the sport. He will be just fine if he falls behind his peers and only ever plays rec. [/quote]
