It's a legitimate question.  A 15 yr old (barring special needs) who needs mommy to walk him to the gate for a flight is woefully underprepared for life.  So many helicopter/snowplow parents.  Might you be one?[/quote]

Yup. I know a couple of 15 year olds on the spectrum who are great kids who would probably be fine on an plane by themselves, but navigating an airport to the right gate might end up in them not making it, or having a meltdown. The range of humanity is pretty broad.[/quote]
