I'm looking for challenging reads that are still appropriate for a 3rd grader. Lexile score ~1200. Any suggestions?
There are eleven million threads on this in the elementary school forum if you use the search function. AAP != advanced reader (1/4 of AAP students are actually below grade level in reading) and advance reader != AAP. - AAP parent
So do you have any book recs? Not OP but I could use some as well.
I have tons of book recs. I have typed them up umpteen times in the elementary school aged forum, where people ask these kinds of questions all the time. For ex: https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1258812.page (4th-5th but plenty of these I would let my current 3rd grader read) https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1240608.page (for a 1st grader, but for read aloud so they will be harder but age appropriate) https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/808559.page (again, 1st grade read aloud)
Thank you for linking these here!
