[/quote] Clubs operate on a yearly schedule with tryouts in the spring for next fall. There are always options to join mid year, but that's for kids already in the system moving from another club. It really sounds like rec is the best option for you unless you have a friend/peer at another local club where people have left or need help. [/quote]
