I see tons of posts by atheists that state atheists also don’t think there is any world beyond the natural world, ie, the supernatural. Is that a core tenet of atheism? It’s confusing because many atheists have posted here that atheism just means no belief in a God or gods.
It’s confusing to you, clearly. The rest of us realize an atheist can think more than one thing.
So some atheists don’t believe in the supernatural, and some do?
That's not at all what pp said, which I think and hope that you understand. No atheist believes in the supernatural.
Then atheism is more than just no belief in God/gods, because God/gods are not the total of the supernatural world. So atheism-despite protestations-is no belief in God/gods, and no belief in the supernatural world. Supernatural weans anything beyond the natural world. Why the confusion? Are atheists not allowed to admit they don’t believe in the supernatural?
