Did it ever occur to you that the reason you hate your dishwasher is because you think a 30 minute cycle is long enough to actually clean your dishes? A proper cycle should run 90-120 minutes.[/quote]

No, the smell is not stinky like food it’s the plastic or something. Ozone? Idk but the regular cycle is actually worse as far as the smell. It has gotten a lot better since it was new and it’s not a deal breaker for me. I googled it to make sure it wasn’t installed wrong or something and found tons of complaints so I think it’s just a design flaw.

The 30 minute cycle cleans beautifully. And, it’s so quiet. I use it all the time and I love it. If I don’t get to the breakfast dishes, I can put them in with the dinner cooking stuff and run it while we eat. Then I just empty and load a few plates. I also use it a lot during parties. 
Zero complaints about the 30 minute cycle and my point is I would prioritize it over anything else if/when I have to replace it.
