I've seen something like it, more the player not making the higher team (despite some promises, so kinda like a cut), leaving the club and later come back to get that top team. I think some clubs also change age group after a 2 year cycle, so that can be a factor.[/quote]

I've wondered why a D or E string player would be cut only to have the coaches start over with new players. It doesn't make sense to cut those low level players if they consistently show up to play because they will probably never make it to the ECNL level anyway. Why remove them from the program in that case?[/quote]
