DOJ memo on enforcing the end of DEI, including in Universities. https://www.justice.gov/ag/media/1388501/dl?inline
"Department of Justice will work with the Department of Education to issue directions..." Trump will severely hinder if not get rid of the Dept of Education. The red states will get dumber. Colleges in blue states (especially the private ones) will thrive. Think Massachusetts. The elite colleges will continue to admit diverse classes. Life goes on in USNWR 100.
Meh. What’s going to change? The red state public universities will continue to admit their diverse student body. There will be no difference.
I’m the PP and I take this back, in part. My red state public university has a wide variety of student clubs centered around ethnicity and country of origin. I don’t think they’re exclusive in any way and anyone can join. I would hate to see those students have to dissolve the clubs that far predate any government DEI initiatives. The diverse student body won’t change but the university would feel the loss of the clubs it has always supported.
