We pop into the bakeries selling jambon beurre sandwiches - delicious and usually $4-6 euro. Pret a manger all over too for similar sandwiches that you can walk and eat. For dinner, touristy but if you like steak frites, relais de l’entrecote. Pretty reasonable too.
My kids also really love jambon beurre sandwiches as well. LOTS of patisserie's have sandwiches and increasingly have drinks and even a little seating available. My kids loved going to Angelina's in the Louvre and getting hot chocolate and pastries :) Creperie's also are well loved. If you are going when it is warm, I recommend looking for casual bistro's or cafe's with outdoor seating. There will probably be someone smoking nearby BUT you are outside, kids can be a little louder and more rambunctious so I tend to feel more comfortable.
