Canadians want to punish the Liberals, but are now going to be wary of anyone who tries to emulate Trump. Pierre certainly fits the Trump mold and that's going to be a big issue for him and the Conservatives.

Ford cuts a tougher figure than Trudeau, mainly in style. But with Ford you still get some of the things people like about the Liberals, while still giving them an outlet to "punish" the Liberals and express their anti-incumbent attitudes.

Ford can thread the needle, imho. Especially if he gets some prominent, level headed Liberals to support him.[/quote]
