They were cleared before the end of the day.[/quote] Weather related closures are always system-wide, because usually all schools are affected at once, and with busing for magnets and special programs, it gets complicated to have uneven attendance at the same school. The state of Walter Johnson parking lot and a few others on Tuesday were the reasons MCPS decided to extend the 2hr delay so crews could have more time to de-ice. It turned out they didn't need the Thursday delay. [/quote]
