Um, what? Those are all really good schools. What you don't get from Great School Ratings is that the elementary schools in this area are rated low because (a) they're not diverse and (b) the test scores aren't improving, not because the teaching is bad, but because there isn't a whole lot of room for improvement when the scores are already high. It's really stupid and yet another reason why people shouldn't look at Great School Ratings.

Nobody looking at houses in Oakton is looking at houses in McLean and Falls Church. People that move out West are doing so for the space - more house and more land for your money. This house is overpriced, absolutely, but someone looking at this type of house isn't going to find what they want in 22043 and 22056. Also the people looking in that area don't work in DC, they telework or they work in Reston or Loudon County.[/quote]
