Of note, below is what a 2020 report found about HOPE (formerly called GBRS) scores. I would guess this is why the changed the name, but I don't see what else is meaningfully different.

"Reconsideration of use of the GBRS. There is currently very little, if any, evidence that the GBRS is a valid and reliable assessment tool for identifying advanced learners. It is currently a major factor in AAP service eligibility, despite very limited psychometric foundations."

The GBRS was very different. It included commentary and matched more closely with standard answers you'd get if you google "signs of giftedness."
