Online HPE9 and HPE10 through FCPS definitely meets synchronously every day for 5 weeks during the summer.  Attendance is mandatory and you can only miss 2 classes before you are automatically unenrolled.  They don't tell you the time of your synchronous class until the Friday before the class starts and you can't choose your time. HPE10 has one mandatory parent meeting for the driver safety requirement. They don't tell you the date until after the class starts.

But it is true that they need to track 60 minutes of physical activity every day using a Fitbit and hit a certain heart rate or else their activity won't count.

Search the forum for past discussions - this has been discussed several times in the past few weeks.  Many families are opting to do HPE through Virtual Virginia instead.[/quote]

Is it still 5 weeks if they take HPE9 as part of IFTA? Or would that just mean that for 3 weeks, they are taking the course synchronously and still taking asynchronously for the other 2 weeks?[/quote]
