My kids have done Sciences Po summer program (2.5 weeks) and an outstanding program (in English) and Bocconi’s Pre-College program for Business. Kid 1 is now at Yale, kid #2 at Cornell.
which did they prefer? Bocconi?
They each went to one. So I cant compare. They both liked it. Bocconi kid really really liked it. It is a bigger program. Made close friends from all over the world. You select two classes from a list of 10 or so. His professors were great and he still talks to one. Good mix of learning what school there would be like, a little taste of college classes in business and a lot of fun in the streets of Milan. Bocconi offers housing in their Dorms. My kid was lucky that his dorm was adjacent to the building where his classes were. Sciences Po also enjoyed it. But it looks like this was a more academic undertaking. While the program is in English it helps if your kid knows even a little French. He liked it so much that he applied and was accepted to Sciences Po. So he was torn making a decision. For Political Science majors, Sciences Po is top in the world or a very close second. Could not go wrong with either. It is just a completely different college experience.
