What are the colleges you believe are underrated and arent in the USNews top 20. I personally adored the tour DD and I went on through sewanee. It is a truly beautiful campus with a mix of traditional student culture and a fantastic education. DD ended up getting into Princeton, but I still sometimes think about how much she would’ve loved her time at Sewanee.
Agree on Sewanee. It's a fantastic place to get an education, and I've never met a graduate who wasn't successful. I think its location, while stunning and beautiful, holds it back due to its remoteness. If it were in the Northeast or even just closer to a real city, it would be ranked much higher than #45 and would have an acceptance rate much lower than 50%. Also underrated and/or underappreciated: Rose-Hulman Texas A&M St. Joseph's
