Hurricanes season starts as soon as the teams are formed-- so early March for middle school but later for high school since HS playoffs are in March. Tournaments are not every weekend but as much as the team wants to do until June or July--again at the discretion of the team (and how much they are willing to pay ). Sometimes there is a summer league the teams play in too, but not every team. What is difficult for the girls who play travel soccer is that the basketball tournament schedule doesn't come out until Thursday or Friday before the weekend tournament, so you can't plan on attendance. At the HS level, the travel soccer girls get placed on the lower level teams because of the lack of commitment they can make, but in the end, a lot is left up to the coaches.[/quote]
