Asking our teenagers to be at their best at 7am is just not going to happen, even if they go to bed at 10pm. Their body clocks just aren't set for that schedule. Of course they will need to adapt, but they will be more able to do this as they enter adulthood and have more adult-like body clocks. In the meantime, I think it's a reasonable step to move the start of the academic day to 8 am. It may not seem like much, but it would certainly help a lot of teens.[/quote]
