We listen to that same music (except Kanye West) in the car and sing along together. Chill out. Whatever is on the radio is edited anyway.
Haha, me too. My older son and I got in the habit of listening to a Hip Hop classics station on the way to pick up his younger brother at younger brother's school. We both really enjoyed it since he was far too young to have experienced that stuff when it was new and I was far too old. Songs like "The Motto" from whence "YOLO" went viral. I have a fondness for the Ludacris song "Stand Up" and he likes "Apple Bottom Jeans". I was very *shocked Pikachu* when I found out what the "Radio Edits" had deleted out. My older son still grew up to be a good, polite kid. We kind of laugh about it. My younger one hates the genre and wants us to switch it off. I grew up with early MTV, Madonna the simulated virgin, and stuff Tipper Gore was trying to get banned, so I have faith it will all be fine.
