I’ve always had acid reflux/GERD issues but I can’t take my prescription Dexilant - at least I don’t think. All I have seen online is that it may not be ok. I’ll have to call my doctor but every medical website including the Dexilant site seems to warn against it unless absolutely needed I bought omeprazole today and took one earlier but it not kicking in. What has worked for you? I have that burning in my throat/esophagus all day and all night
Lansoprazole (Prilosec) worked well enough for me during most of my pregnancy. Occasionally had to supplement with tums. Eating an early dinner and no evening snacks also helped. I gave birth two days ago and the issue is gone!
I got an RX for Famotidine (Zantac) double dose during pregnancy and took it daily. It totally works! Also, I went from having horrific daily heartburn (sometimes I even woke up choking on acid) to ZERO the second they pulled my sweet baby out. It’s so temporary that I would take the highest dose of everything they allow.
