[/quote] OP here- the schools seem close enough in ranking that it's going to be about "fit." I've been to the UMN campus which is quite nice but have never been to Pitt. I hear the students at Pitt are generally happy. We're still waiting on some schools that are reaches and very popular-- the way I'm hearing it, his chances aren't high. DS is a great student with a lot of hard classes and rigor, but inconsistent test taker-- the SAT score came in lower than expected, so I think that will be a factor. All that said, I'm pleased with his choices so far. [/quote]
