They take a shot at a few of them, and if that doesn't work out, they are looking at targets -- many of which fill up during ED/EA rounds with kids who don't shoot for the moon, and so some kids end up at the safety on the list of 10 or so schools they actually applied to. and geography matters. If a kid doesn't want to fly to college that eliminates a lot of school in the Top 25 from the list to start with. Applying to 25 schools with test scores can end up costing you over $3000. [/quote]
