I’ve been going to St John for over a decade and we do a BVI excursion about once every 3 years. It can be a lot of fun, but if it’s your first time in St. John there are plenty of beaches to explore and hikes to do etc. Also, it is common to see a forecast for rain and have that mean a 6 min sprinkle at 11am. Enjoy!
I also go annually and agree with this. I wouldn’t go to BVI for a short trip, but a snorkel trip around St John and a stop at Lime Out is a great day. I recommend Salt Deck/Salty Daze Charters. Also, don’t worry about the rain! You can still still snorkel at some beaches (check the wind direction), hike - the waterfall should be flowing at the reef bay hike, and walk around Mongoose Junction and shop. It’ll be a great trip either way!
