I had three C-sections and was up and moving around in well under 24 hours for each. I really only used the pain meds for breast-feeding. For me, the only issue with C-sections is that it’s a little hard to get in and out of bed for the first week, and the scar itches like crazy at about four weeks.
Op here. This is my biggest concern. We did buy an adjustable bed and placed it on the main floor in case I can’t climb the stairs. I also have hyper mobility and it makes it harder for my body to recover from joint pain postpartum. It takes longer for my joints to strengthen and for the relaxin hormones that relax the joints to go away. Right now I struggle to get in and out of bed due to hip pain. It really sucks but so far I have only gotten stuck and been immobile a few times. It’s sucks the most when I need to use the bathroom. I wear adult diapers at night just in case I get stuck.
