We lose fields at 8:00. We have asked for them later (until 9 or 9:30) in order to relieve congestion and the answer is always no. The major issue to me with the FXA crowd is not that I don't want them to have fields, but they come on and start using the fields well before 8:00 and are knocking balls around with young kids there and generally disrupting practices that are going on during the youth permit block. They say they kick off at 8:00. Well, then don't plan to do that since you don't have the field until then. Start at 8:10 or 8:15.
This is our experience too. They show up and are basically hovering over the kids while they are finishing up their practice and push their way onto the field right at 8:00 on the dot. It feels a little aggressive, especially when the youth practice is a bunch of young kids. In my opinion, it should be like college classes where there’s a 15 minute transition period so that the first group doesn’t feel they are being encroached on and the second group isn’t getting annoyed that the first group hasn’t vacated the space yet.
Fxa already does that games start 8:10pm the earliest. Players arrive earlier to warm up. Fxa also has informed players not to go on the field to warm up before 8. Kids should not be practice untill 9pm. Parents should be by the field to pick up their kids at 8pm. It is a public park to serve all the community not only youth travel.
8:00 is not late for older HS age kids.
Can confirm that other clubs that don't have to deal with organizations like FXA hold HS age sessions beyond 9pm.
