We have stayed in some of the smaller towns near Lagos - but not directly inside of the old town. We rent a car and like to go to some of the "secret" and beautiful beaches along the coast - Burgau, Sagres - the water can be rough - in some areas - especially as you go past Sagres. We rent houses - which often having garages or parking spots- there are parking lots on the outskirts of Lagos with an easy walk in - or you can go around to the Marina side where there is a large underground parking garage for dinners in town.
