Either MCPS is deliberately misleading parents about this new curriculum (something that appears more likely to me) or it is woefully unprepared to adequately describe this sweeping change in the structure and content of our children's school experience.

For example: if Sup. Starr is telling the truth that math acceleration is still possible under 2.0, principals (and Starr) ought to be able to tell parents how that will work.  So far, I haven't heard anything close to a clear, concise explanation of that process.  This leads me to believe that either 1) they are lying and, in fact, acceleration is not possible or 2) they are inept and haven't figured out what that acceleration process will look like.

Which is it: lying or ineptitude?  Our kids aren't well served with either.
