Here is the USL Youth website: https://www.usl-youth.com/about/.  Super Y rebranded to USL Youth early this year.  My kid has done it for the last 3 years (U11-U13).  I don't know where others who commented play, but it's not that expensive for the whole summer ($600) as compared to other options for staying in shape over the summer.  It's very low commitment -  2 practices per week and 1-2 games per week for about 6-8 weeks.  You go to what you can; we miss 1-2 games every year so it's not like you have to plan summer vacations around it.  Competition varies depending on which teams participate and who actually plays, but it's nice to get the extra touches in over the summer in a fun/low stress environment.  I think it probably isn't as competitive beyond U13 or U14, but I don't know that for certain since I have a U13.  If your team qualifies for the nationals tournament, you have a fun trip in Tampa in December.

Also not sure who has practices cancelled all the time - that happened a few days this past summer and game times moved around, but it just wasn't as bad as others make it sound the last 3 years.  Yeah, it's hot outside, but it's called summer!  If you have a kid under U14, I think it's a good experience overall.[/quote]

You train and look for guest playing opportunities if your kid wants to play. Or signup to the college ID camp NOT to get notice primarily but to get touches and some scrimmages. [/quote]
