You need to be honest because you don't want to get accepted and then realize the school won't be able to accommodate your kid. We disclosed everything-DS is dyslexic. His dyslexia and what he's done to devise different learning strategies was a big part of his essay and it helped to explain his pretty abysmal HSPT score. His school was very accepting of learning differences and we knew this when applying. Had it not been we might have thought twice about putting it in the essay. [/quote]
