The meet is set up as prelims and then finals.   The top 16 make it to the finals.   The top 8 get to have their names announced and the top seed gets to pick the song they walk out too.   They also get medals, but they are just ok.  [/quote]

Seeing my own kids bounce between NCI and Turkey Claus and others too, I will say that you do see kids put down some amazing times, crushing age group cuts for PVS spring meets or in some instances make NCSAs. Different goals for different swimmers. Agree with the sentiment that the atmosphere is super fun. At least when I ask my kids about swimming NCI, they've said it has a more serious atmosphere.[/quote]
