Across the Potomac from the capital is a county of high-rise apartment buildings and extremely low traffic-fatality and homicide rates. https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2024-11-18/how-arlington-virginia-became-the-safest-place-in-america
And the typical house in Arlington only costs, like, $3 million.
How else can we keep the unwashed masses out?
Keep them out? The county wants them in: https://www.arlnow.com/2024/03/04/arlington-considers-removing-immigration-status-requirements-for-low-income-housing-grants/
Arlington built too much "affordable housing," and has to import people from Alexandria and DC to fill the units. Immigrants are the next group they need. There is a new affordable mid rise going up behind the affluent Lee Heights Shops that will be the target for these immigrants as they are less disruptive than those living in Arlington's other affordable housing buildings. They will not shout vulgarties at the people leaving Pastries by Randolph and La Colline.
