I'm more interested in why you think you end up with the wrong colors?! Did someone tell you that or did you look at yourself in the mirror and just decide? "I'm always wrong" screams depression and insecurity. No matter how you dress, you'll think it's not right. Maybe you want to reframe your thinking, not your colors. Navy is usually perceived as elegant and understated year-round. The mustard yellow would be a nice focus point for your outfits. I don't particulary like the other colors, but if YOU like one in particular, go for it.
I have a visual perception learning disability and am very bad at understanding what I see. I have to tell the nail lady at the salon what color I want (dark purple, almost black, matte) and then let her find it for me, otherwise I will pick the wrong purple and not realize I dislike it until I have walked out. If I buy shoes online it'll only be once I get them delivered that I'll say "Oh I didn't realize they were like THIS". This isn't a psychological, self-esteem issue.
Thanks for explaining. Is this associated with dyslexia? Also, if you see a color one way in the store, how come you see it differently at home?
