So if you rank, say, Banneker 1st and Walls 2nd, and both would have admitted you, you'll never know about Walls because you'll only get offered a seat at Banneker. The one exception I know of--and my oldest child experienced this--is if you originally get waitlisted at your top choice and get into one lower down your list. Then if you get off the waitlist at your top choice, you actually get to choose between the school you originally were seated at and the one where you've gotten off the WL.[/quote]
