No. I do not. Federal employees and contractors vote their interest.
There are also a lot of highly educated people in the DMV. Unless the Republicans at a national level dramatically change their platform, the DMV isn't going to vote for them.
You haven't a clue about who/ what is in the Republican party. You are taking a false liberal myth and assigning it to more than half the nation. Half of our judiciary, including 6 justices educated at out top law schools at Oxford are conservatives. Are they not "highly educated"? You also make the classic ill-educated liberal mistake of classifying all Republicans as maga and poorly educated. Are you aware there are just as many types of political beliefs from moderate to libertarian (far right, not maga) that include a lot of liberal positions, like conservatives who are pro-abortion? Do yiu even know what conservatives believe jn (hint: has to do with federalism). Are you not aware that many from centrist moderate to far right libertarian do not approve of Trump. That many held their noses while voting for him or voted libertarian or chose not to vote at all.
Apparently I struck a nerve given that rant. I didn't attribute a positive or negative value to education being correlated with political affiliation. I simply pointed out that it is, and that this area is highly educated. And now that Republicans are the party of Trump, the skew based on educational level has grown. So no, this area isn't going to turn purple anytime soon. The Republicans will need to remake themselves. If they were to focus on fiscal conservatism they might have a chance, but that's not today's Republican party.
