Let’s run the wild scenario this is the set up. Much of the traditional tryout is watching the girls play together and see how they vibe. If the 16s, for example, split among their choosing of club courts, how do you ensure fairness in determining workability with teammates. If you show up at Club A with weaker players, you may hurt your chances while the stronger plays we all happened to start on Club B And Cs court. Seems like that could effect tryouts.
I had a similar thought. For more competitive teams especially, tryouts often involve a lot of gameplay like scenarios and they will have a few prospective players mixed in with the returners they expect back to get a sense of chemistry and compatibility. Perhaps clubs could opt in to something like this if they believed it would result in them being able to see more potential players in single day, but I think there would be a lot of resistance. Another issue is that CHRVA covers a pretty broad geographic area and includes Delaware and the northeastern part of WV. Forcing players to drive 2-3 hours to tryouts when they can really only play for the clubs that are logistically practical for them does not seem very efficient.
