Please post your gift idea. I am desperate. My husband loves x-country skiing, swimming, and Lord of the Rings. However this thread is for ideas for any man.
53 yo man here. I've posted gift ideas in the past. I don't know your price point, but in general, experiences are a good thing to spend money on for gifts for men. Concert tickets, a trip to a ski destination in your case, etc. Maybe to NZ if you can afford it to see the LotR sets. But that's all pretty high dollar, I know. For myself, personally, the people who care about me know there are certain things I enjoy so they can always get me things in those categories. For example, I love hot sauces. There's no shortage of different kinds of hot sauces. Bonus: They have a low price point so even my teenage kids can feel like they're buying me something I will sincerely enjoy. Spend a little time poking around the website Bespokepost.com to get a few ideas. For example, for a man who likes whisky there are cool decanter sets. For men who like camping, all sorts of accessories. The Flikfire concrete candles are neat -- what man doesn't like FIRE? All the stuff there is pretty masculine and unique. You don't need to subscribe -- much of it you can find elsewhere. Surely there are X-country ski or swimming accessories you can buy (just check that he doesn't have anything). Maybe hunt for first editions of the LoTR books? But experiences. That's generally the way to go unless he collects something, in which case add to his collection.
